Who we are

Welcome to the About Us page of Global Orphan Aid for Life (GOAL). We are a non-profit organization dedicated to providing underprivileged and vulnerable children with the tools to break the cycle of poverty and stand on their own feet.

With over 163 million orphaned children worldwide, largely due to the AIDS pandemic, natural disasters, low world health standards, immense poverty, and food shortages, the need for organizations like GOAL is more crucial than ever. In Bangladesh alone, there are 64 million children, 50% of whom grow up impoverished. Of those 64 million children, 4.8 million are orphans. 25% of children between the ages of 6-11 work to help support their families in low paying jobs with dangerous tasks. Most children drop out of school at the age of 8, perpetuating the cycle of poverty.

At GOAL, we believe that every child deserves a chance to live a happy and fulfilling life. Our programs are designed to provide comprehensive care for orphans and underprivileged children, with a focus on education, health, nutrition, and vocational training. We strive to empower children with the tools they need to succeed, both now and in the future.

Our Orphan Support Program provides shelter, food, clothing, and medical care for children who have lost their parents. Our Education Program ensures that children have access to quality education and the opportunity to learn new skills. Our Health and Nutrition Program provides medical care and nutritious food to help children grow up healthy and strong.

In addition, we have a Family Care Model that aims to reunite children with their extended families and provide support for those families to care for the children. Our Vocational Training Program equips young people with the skills they need to become self-sufficient and contribute to their communities. Our Horticulture Program teaches children how to grow their own food, providing a sustainable source of nutrition.

We also have an Emergency Relief Program that provides critical support during natural disasters and other emergencies. Our Advocacy and Awareness Program aims to raise awareness about the needs of vulnerable children and advocate for their rights. Our Scholarship Program provides support for children to continue their education beyond secondary school.

Finally, our Women’s Empowerment Program is dedicated to empowering women and girls through education, vocational training, and advocacy. We believe that when women are empowered, they can positively impact their families, communities, and the world.
